MY STORY

I hope my story inspires others to follow their dreams. Never stop dreaming, believe that you can never make mistakes only have experiences. Obstacles are just challenges and never procrastinate when setting your goals. Everyone one is unique for a reason and it is our uniqueness that inspires each other.

I was not born to run, I just love to run.

January 2011, My New Years Resolution – To Run 5km without stopping. I even started a Running Log and with my trusty Iphone app Map My Run, my challenge began.

I enjoyed running after work, giving me some “ME” time and a break from having to think of nothing else other than putting one foot in front of the other.

I joined our local Running Club four months later, Rockhampton Road Runners. Looking for some company and to grow friendships with people who shared the same passion. I quickly become inspired by other runners and eager to enter my first race event.

The Rocky River Run 10K event I entered excited, thinking all the half marathon entrants were just crazy. That would just take forever……. Crossing the 10k finishing line 5th Female felt amazing. My adrenaline from the excitement was addictive. I soon found myself chasing the next event and challenge. To this day that same feeling no matter what the distance or event remains the same.

I have since traveled the country and world chasing goals and dreams that I never would have imagined. I have grown friendships that have inspired me and made me believe in myself. Without being surrounded by such an amazing running community I would not be where I am today.

And so my Journey continues……………..

Love My Running 🙂

Adelaide Marathon 203

My biggest supporters. My Parents Trevor (deceased July 2017 & sadly missed) & Mary Provis have always been there when I have crossed another milestone.

Sadly Dad was not here when I embarked on my ultimate journey to date the UTMB Mont Blanc race but his presence was with me when I crossed the line on Australia’s Fathers Day. “Dad you will always be with me during every race, milestone and finishing line..love you dearly and miss you so much’.
